DONNA GORDON Donna Gordon a self-taught artist. She has been a sculptor since her retirement as an executive in the financial services industry in 1999. Donna decided to work full time as an artist after a visit to her parent's home. While there she noticed sculptural forms and vessels in every room of their house - faces, busts, animals, and pottery - dating back from pre-school all the way through college, and all of them were hers. "In that moment, I saw who I was and who I am, versus what I do for a living. Within a year, I was creating art on a full time basis." For Donna, the creation of figurative art is an ongoing exploration of self, relationships, and of the emotional content of our world. Her work explores the richness and complexity of our existence, the emotional connections we share, and the every day movements and feelings that make us unique.
